Always exceptional service

Excellent service from a small, friendly and dedicated team. Feels a bit like going back into the past but that is part of the charm. Highly recommended . Leave the big national chains and come here!

Brilliant service. Can't fault them.

The lovely Max fitted me with mini scleral lenses today. And for the first time in a long time, I was able to see clearly. He is an incredible optometrist and I trust him completely with my eye care. I have high astigmatism In both eyes, and I have never truly gotten on with glasses. Because of this, Max introduced me to mini scleral lenses. They have truly changed my vision and I couldn't be more grateful. I can't recommend enough!

From the moment I walked through the door to a most friendly lady on reception to sitting in the waiting area listening to vinyl played on a record player to then having my eye test under the care of Ghislaine who explained everything so thoroughly I felt so relaxed throughout the whole appointment and the service was exceptional to say the least. Such professionalism and warmth I would definitely recommend Peel and Gudgin!

I had a fantastic experience at P&G opticians in Stowmarket. From start to finish, the team were brilliant. Debbie carried out my eye test and took the time to explain everything clearly, which really put me at ease. Jo on reception was so friendly and efficient - she got me booked in quickly and kept me updated on when my glasses were ready. When I came to collect them, Jackie was extremely helpful in making sure they fitted perfectly and were comfortable. It's so nice to feel genuinely looked after by a team who clearly care about their patients. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for professional and friendly service!

very friendly opticians

I visited the opticians today and was pleasantly surprised by the new refurbishment but pleased to see the same staff as they are always very helpful. I've been a customer for nearly 20 years and like to support local independent businesses. We are lucky to have them in Stowmarket.

Very welcoming practice with Jo on reception a credit to Peel & Gudgin. Very calming eye test & really explained things to help understand the process. Then very helpful choosing new glasses.

The staff are so helpful, friendly and professional and they have a great selection of frames for myself and my children to choose from. It's great to support a local independent business. We love the refurbishment too!

I have been going to Peel and Gudgin for many years and have always received an excellent service. Staff are always friendly, and helpful. Opticians are very personable and conduct tests in a very reassuring manner. Since my last visit, they are undergoing some new investments including excellent new test equipment and stylish/comfortable decor.

Really kind and professional service. My Grandpa is a loyal customer of theirs and they take amazing care of him. He recently had a fall in town and they kindly took him in, patched him up and made him a cup of tea until I reached him. We are very grateful to the wonderful team here and their excellent customer service

I have been using Peel & Gudgin since 2008. I have to admit with all the changes that have taken place there recently I was unsure if to continue with them. I did some pre-test cost comparisons with other independent opticians & a couple of high street chains. I was surprised & very pleased to find that Peel & Gudgin still offered competitive prices for the high grade varifocals I would need. So I booked an appointment with the OCT scan booked as an optional extra. I had my test today. Debbie McPeake carried out the test,aided by some very useful new tech.She was very informative through out the examination giving me the confidence that my eyes had a very thorough sight & health check.Nicola helped with frames, & gave her time willing. I didn't feel under any pressure to buy anything I did not need. I didn't feel at all rushed, but did feel valued. Not forgetting Sharon who made me an excellent coffee,& as always was very friendly. Faultless customer service all round. Thank you ladies, you are all excellent & I will continue to recommend you.

Very professional and efficient — they picked up an issue my previous practice missed and arranged a follow-up. Only drawback was limited parking, otherwise excellent care.
